We decided to take the girls bowling yesterday. Makaylee and Macey have never been before, however, Makaylee is a pro at Wii bowling. Macey was still too little for shoes and the ball. Bowling with a toddler is quiet different than when we use to go bowling before the kids. When bowling as a mommy, you practice herding your child out of other people's way as they throw very heavy balls at toddler head level. You have to keep them from sticking their hands into the very tempting ball return machine. You have to catch the ball when they manage to pick it up, just before they drop it on their foot. And you have to do all of this while other people tell you its your turn to bowl, you try to juggle that ball track for toddlers into place, and try to keep your kid from rolling the ball down the lane during everyone else's turn. It's really sad when your two year old scores higher than you do.
Macey didn't a little help with the ball so we would carry it and sit it on the ball track for her. She would push the ball down the track, prop her chin up on the track and watch the ball slowly roll down the lane. Then when only a few pins would fall down she would turn around and say, "Ah Man".

Makaylee started off using the rack for assistance but eventually was bowling all by herself big girl style.
