Indecorous Brats
I am fuming, just down right livid at some of the brats at Madison's school. I am very strict when it comes to my children being rude to others. I have always taught Madison to be polite no matter what someone says to her. But today the lace gloves flew off and the boxing gloves came on. Madison came home after school today and was telling me about a situation that happened to her while playing tether ball at recess. My blood pressure is rising as I'm typing this. Anyhow, Madison is pretty good at tether ball, like most sports, and she beats quite a few of the kids at recess. She was playing this girl and the girl's sister came up and yelled, "Amy, don't let that fat girl beat you"! I immediately said, "she said WHAT"! And of course Scott replies, "Madison I hope you punched her in the face". Like always when Scott takes this approach I tell Madison that that is not the right thing to do but buddy I was screaming the same thing inside I just couldn't tell Madison that. Madison did admit to me that wanted to punch the girl. Don't get me wrong I'm not justifying hitting I just don't understand flat out rude, impolite, bad-mannered, bad mouthed kids. When Madison was in first grade her best friend was a little Indian girl. They were playing during recess and some girl called the Indian girl "black trash". Madison came home so upset over what took place I wound up calling the Principal about it. It has just totally stuns me by what all I hear from Madison that gets said in "grammar" school. First of all Madison is not fat! Poor Madison she is so self conscious about herself because she has always been the tallest girl and sometimes overall in her class (I know its hard to believe that Scott and I could have produced a tall child). No wonder kids are becoming anorexia and bulimic in grammar school. If I had a hold of that girl, I would have her face over the sink washing her mouth out with soap. Garbage like this is why sometimes I consider home schooling. Sorry to vent so badly but I have a very low tolerance when it comes to kids making fun of others. It hits a very sore spot with me. I was ridiculed all through school for not having all the "in things", we just couldn't afford it. Yes, I know kids will be kids but it still makes me angry. I know this is a bunch of rambling but I had to vent. Ok off to bed, it's 1:04 AM.

Not A Lot Going On
Not much going on. The snow had finally melted late last week, got the cars clean, the garage floor washed out and then we woke up to the below this morning. It blizzard all day long. One thing that I hate about when it snows this much is the school still makes the kids go out for two breaks during the day. I just can't quite understand what they are thinking. Why send the kids out to get their shoes and the bottom of their pants wet and don't forget freezing cold and then expect them to come back into class and concentrate on work. That one baffles me.

I finally got all my Christmas decorations put away last night. For some reason this year I just didn't want to take them down. I was playing around with my camera before I took the tree down and came up with this cool looking picture.
Well it looks like we will be heading south for a couple of weeks. I spoke with Madison's school today about our situation and they were very understanding about her missing a couple of weeks of school. Since I gave enough notice they are going to get some things together for her to work on while she is absent. I am so glad they are doing this because I did not want her to have to make every little thing up when she returned back to school. I am a little nervous about the drive down. I am hoping and praying, mostly praying, that we do not have to travel through too much hazardous road conditions due to snow. Say a prayer for us. We will be heading out late next week. I am hoping for a chance of some nice weather while we are there. This will be the first time meeting Macey for friends and family back home besides my mom and Scott's mom. Can't wait to see everyone!!

Macey Caught A Stomach Bug
We had to wake Macey up this morning at 11:40am. We actually didn't wake her on purpose we woke her up accidentally by checking on her to make sure she was ok. She had been asleep since 8:30pm the night before. After she had her breakfast or brunch rather and her cup of milk she began a long day of vomiting. Poor little thing could not keep anything down. Hopefully it is just a 24 hour bug and she will be feeling better tomorrow. I just about bet I know where she picked it up to. We stopped by Joe's Sporting Goods the other day to pick Madison up some basketball shoes and did not use the Floppy in the shopping cart. For you that don't' know what it is it is a cushioned seat cover for shopping carts so the child does not pick up all those millions of nasty germs left behind by other people. I never used one before Macey because I thought it would be more trouble than it was worth but I truly believe it has been a life saver keeping the germs away. Just a few pictures of the little one today. Here she is asleep on daddy's chest tonight after she got sick in her bed. She knows what suckers we are and that now she will get to sleep with us. The last one is of this morning, Makaylee loves to hold her little sis while she drinks her milk in the mornings.

A New Day....A New Year
It's a new day and we have had time to sit and think, cry a little, panic, laughed, be thankful for other things, be bitter, you name it we have felt it over the last twenty four hours. We are trying to stay positive and not seem to worried for Madison's sake. After she heard me talking with someone on the phone yesterday she went and made a list of things she could sell in a garage to help us make money. Well that made me feel like total crap so from that point on I knew that we did not need to let her see or hear us worrying. I have been making jokes about the situation trying to lighten it up some, in all honesty, if I don't laugh about it I'm afraid I make have a major breakdown. So for now this is my way of handling it.
New Years Eve was pretty boring around here. In fact Scott had to wake me up about a quarter till twelve for me to even ring in the new year.

Funny story with my hand. Scott and I are members of a spa. We have the option of using the regular tanning beds or the mystic tan booths. I don't care too much for the mystic because it always turns my nail cuticles orange. Yuk! Scott had this brilliant idea for me to wear latex gloves to keep my nails from turning. When I got in there I thought well I want the top of my hands to be tanned too so I pulled the glove back up to my knuckles. Below is what my hand looked like that night. It looks like I have a Michael Jackson reproduction thing going on or I have dipped my fingers in bleach. I know go ahead and laugh. So I have this golden tan all over except for my albino fingers. I don't know what in the world I was thinking when I did this. Oh well, you live and learn....right???
